A2 Japanese release

Lately we've been posting nothing at all, but that's because there's nothing happening in the world of Square Enix, but we'll drop you this little piece of greatness for the NDS.

Since it's release date on Japan, the most anticipated Final Fantasy serie for the NDS, Grimoire of the Rift has been dominating the sales charts.

Rated 34/40 from Famitsu, marks the era of NDS titles. It wasn't the story that attracted most of the fans and players, but the many jobs and customization options.

While Japan is flourishing with this game, North America and Europe is still waiting for a release day.

DQM J on Europe

Square Enix has officialy announce an European release for early 2008.
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, for Nintendo DS.
DQM is available at the moment in Japan. We haven't yet reported about it, but anyway, we'll start by posting the cover artwork, which again, keeps leaving track of Square Enix:

Japanese Artwork

US Artwork

The game itself is a 3D based RPG (first of the Dragon Quest Monsters spin-offs), using a game engine similar to Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King; it's cell-shaded animation is quite similar to Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2 and the battle system is the same as the previous Dragon Quest Monsters games.
The main character doesn't participate in battles except for using items. You have 4 monsters in your party and send them direct orders, or you can even add some AI settings.

DQMJ doesn't have random battles. You can simply run and watch a monster and avoid it, or even attacked from their backs, winning a Pre-Emptive Strike.

This is the first game in the series to have online play, via Nintendo Wi-Fi, and once again, the characters and monsters are created by Akira Toryama, famous creator of the Dragon Ball characters.

Interested in this game? Why not import it from Japan via Play-Asia:

- Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII Ultimania

Sorry everyone, my internet has gotten really "sick" lately and can't log in here much often, but luckily, I could post this one for you!

We're two weeks away from the official japanese release of - Crisis Core- Final Fantasy VII Ultimanina.
Studio Bent Stuff has given to public a set of details about this book also regarding the publication.

The first package we've seen at the 10th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII Ultimania, wich also came packaged with the Final Fantasy VII postion, was published in a A4 format, but the first package mentioned will be published in an A5 format, which is normally the standard size of a Square Enix Ultimania.

The book contains 592 pages and will be (as always) the quintessential knowlegde-base for the game (says FFInsight), providing a detailed walkthrough for the game and in-depth looks at the characters and scenarios, and don't forget that it will contain staff interviews and artwork showcases like any other Ultimania.

The cover shows the the principal cast of the Final Fantasy VII Compilation - Angeal, Zack and Cloud - surrounding the famous Buster Sword.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Ultimania is due for release in Japan on October 18th.

Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy XIII

Here I am posting my first news for Square Planet =) I'm gonzab, 17 years old, portuguese and asked Xtreme Flash if I could help with the blog which he imediatly complied. Thank You Xtreme. Now to bu
siness:

I guess everyone knows that a trailer of Final Fantasy XIII was shown in the last Tokio Game Show ( TGS ). I found some Famitsu scans talking about it.

Don't worry now I also found the translation. So, basically what they say that was in the trailer is:

"
- The city inside of Cocoon was shown in the new trailer.
- The new FF13 girl is quite different than other girls in the series so it's hard to get her into balance.
- Nomura said the latest Versus 13 trailer finally caught up to the original image he had always wanted to go with. Two new characters even showed up but everything might be reset by the end of the year.* The main character's design has always been a temporary design anyway so his real self will be revealed sometime next year. (MAJISSUKA)
- The plains and towns are following the image of Italy. (I'm sorry, Nomura, but it didn't seem like that to me... OTL) The text that showed up in the trailer were also Italian.
- For now Agito 13 looks pretty tame compared to the main 13 and Versus 13 but a bigger revelation will be done next year.
"

This is not my translation. Kudos to maiki not me aye? Also got some Famitsu scans with another upcoming work of our beloved Tetsuya Nomura: Parasite Eve: 3rd Birthday.

There you go. Unfortunatly, Gamespot says it's a mobile game. Damn you Square and your mobileness.

That's all from me, for now. It was my first post here and God, do I feel happy =P

Media, media and more FFTA2 media

Square finally has revelead the Japanese cover for Nintendo DS, whcih has always, that white background with the title artwork... You get the point...

In other news, Square Enix has also shown to public a track from this same game, and you'll recognize that nostalgic feeling like in any other Hitoshi Sakimoto's tracks.

The official japanese website has also suffered some quite updates several times, and now the results show now 2 new characters pages for Vaan and Penelo, the job section shows 26 new jobs for all the five races, two new wallpapers featuring Vaan and Penelo, the Tokyo Game Show '07 trailer and a variety of screenshots.

And for last, the latest issue of Shonen Jump magazine revealed the presence of two new characters for the game, Al-Cid Margrace (which will be a playable character in-game with an exclusive "Agent" Job), and, everyones favorite Moogle, Montblanc!

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift is due for release in Japanese stores from October 23rd this year. No news yet as to releases outside of Japan.
