And the famous Zanarkand Abes Star Player, from Final Fantasy 10

Those who get to be at the Jump Festa, had the chance to take some "punches" on the multiplayer demo, got rewarded with this pouch:

And also, someone decided to give us a small, but yet important, report about the game controls which stands:
- Directional buttons: camera control
- Analog stick: character movement
- L: lock-on
- R: guard
- R + X: dodge
- X: jump
- O: attack (Brave Point reduction)

And to end this topic for today, I give you a IGN report where they give us their first impression about the game, which as it always happened, the game came to be even cooler than it would seem. Also, there's more details and impressions, remember to check them out.

And finally this would be probably my last post until 26th December so I'd like to wish every visitor a great Merry Christmas!! We would like you to enjoy the day, and most of all, I would like to thank you for all of your support, because it counted a lot for me to keep Square Planet alive!

The World Ends With You

Also known as "It's a Wonderfull World" in Japan.
It's an action-RPG for the handheld video game console, Nintendo DS. Developed by the Kingdom Hearts team, Square Enix and Jupiter. Designed by Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi.
The North American title would be the as the Japanese, if it weren't due to copyright issues, but, in the meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the European version would be titled as "The World Ends With You" and the release date is set for Spring 2008.

I'll let here the Japanese cover, as we haven't yet displayed some info about it.

For some more information, click here to discuss the game on the forum.

Those who buy X360 are true players

The actual director of Square Enix, Yochi Wanda, comments about the current state of this new console generation.
"Xbox 360 is a console for hardcore gamers, those who buy it are the real gamers", said Wanda.

He mentioned that those who buy Wii, buy it only as a toy, and not as console. It was meant to be made for fun.
And also, as it wouldn't be fair to put it aside. Wanda states that Sony isn't sure about what they want to do with PS3. "Was it made as a console or as an High Technological System?"

The director also took some of the time to state his opinion about the new games development. He says that it's necessary to work on new titles, but also to show and to remember the importance of remakes of previous titles.
"60% of the games belong to series and 40% the new headings. There's a misunderstand idea established that it indicates that only we trust series as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest ", affirms the direction.

Lord of Vermillion confirmed

Some months ago, a rumor about a new game by the name of "Lord of Vermillion" was spread out on the web. But today, Square Enix confirmed to us that it isn't just a rumour. This recently trademarked title makes its way across the internet and the Famitsu Magazine, showing what it seems to be an arcade game based on card battles, letting the player to summon creatures and battle with them (similar to Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon trading card games).
Here's the system that will host it:

The soundtrack is being composed by the great Nobuo Uematsu. He'll be composing an entire soundtrack, which you can say it's his first time making it since Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. (Great to have you back sir).

Now, for the artwork, a great team will be working on the design and appearance of the game:
- Ryôsuke Aiba (Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy III [DS])
- Shiro Amano (Kingdom Hearts manga)
- Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy series)
- Toshiyuki Itahana (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series)
- Ryoma Itô (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings)
- Hideo Minaba (Final Fantasy IX)
- Yûsuke Naora (Compilation of Final Fantasy VII)
- Atsushi Ôkubo (Soul Eater manga)
- Akihiko Yoshida (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII)

And now, something to please you, we leave these screenshots for you:

Some prints from Famitsu Magazine:

And finally, some artworks. We can check the usual Square Enix styled logo artwork, and some other artworks featuring some of the creatures of the game:

And that's all for now. We'll keep you informed as soon as more information gets out.

New Versus XIII screens

Media here and there, today we got fresh screens of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and not a big description for those.
We can see the main character's (probably main character) car, which is more like a limousine, which we've already seen him inside it; the place where he was sitting in a royal chair and then, we can see more images of the first battle we've seen in the first trailer.
Enjoy:
